The rapper was en route to Manchester, England, from Amsterdam for a concert as part of her "Pink Friday 2 World Tour."
Nicki Minaj was released from custody on Saturday after what appeared to be an arrest by authorities in the Netherlands on suspicion of exporting soft drugs, officials confirmed.
The rapper, scheduled to perform in Manchester, England, as part of her "Pink Friday 2 World Tour," was fined and permitted to continue her journey, according to police.
Minaj, 41, had been traveling from Amsterdam to Manchester for her concert at the Co-op Live arena, which was subsequently postponed by Live Nation UK due to the day's events.
In a statement, the company expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and assured ticket holders that their tickets would remain valid for the rescheduled show.
While police did not confirm Minaj's identity, they stated that a 41-year-old American woman had been arrested at Schiphol Airport for possession of soft drugs.
Minaj later took to social media to share her experience, expressing frustration over the incident and apologizing to her fans for the disruption. She vowed to reschedule the Manchester concert and promised an added bonus for ticket holders affected by the postponement.
Despite the setback, Minaj affirmed her commitment to her upcoming shows and indicated plans to pursue legal action regarding the incident.
